For the second consecutive year, five Ames High girls wrestlers punched their ticket to the IGHSAU State Championships.

Lexa Rozevink (33-3), Alexis Winkey (35-1), and Allison Metschke (29-8) are each making their second appearance in the tournament’s two-year history. Lily Anderson (23-19) and Lauryn Metcalf (23-6) will both step on to the state tournament mats for the first time.

The Little Cyclones as a team placed fourth in the IGHSAU Regional, tallying 158 team points. The team will look to defend and improve on its top-10 finish in the tournament’s inaugural year in 2023.

Action starts at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
