Jackson Kepley earns IAC boys golf medalist honor

Jackson Kepley shot a season-best 72 at Tuesday’s Iowa Alliance Conference championship golf meet to claim the individual conference title at Blank Golf Course in Des Moines.

Kepley posted an eagle on No. 16 in addition to three birdies to aide in carding the best individual score in the 11-team conference meet. Kepley edged out Marshalltown’s Ryan Schmit (73) for the title. Bowen Flemming (16th, 83), Ashton Richey (18th, 83), and Nick Alexander (19th, 84) rounded out the rest of the Ames scoring, placing the Little Cyclones third overall as a team.
