Emersen Motl cards hole-in-one at Fort Dodge CC Hole No. 8

Emersen Motl aced Hole No. 8 at the Fort Dodge Invitational Friday, the first career hole-in-one for the Ames sophomore.

Motl has consistently led the sixth-ranked Little Cyclones this season, sitting at No. 17 in the latest Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association rankings; just ahead of teammates No. 18 Elizabeth Duncan and No. 23 Estelle Wong.

The Little Cyclones host a 10-team IGHSAU Regional on Wednesday, May 17 at Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames at 10:00 AM. Ames is looking to secure its first team bid to the state tournament since 2010, and must finish in the top two spots in the team standings to do so.
