Athletics Registration

Ames High student-athletes must be registered annually for athletes. Any selection of sports is non-binding and does not guarantee a placement on a team. Students should reach out to the head coach of each respective program about interest in joining the team in addition to receiving important information about practice schedules and other important information.

Athletics Registration will switch from rSchool platform to Bound, starting for the 2024-25 academic year. Student-athletes in Iowa must have an athletic physical completed every 13 months in order to participate in a sport. A signed copy of the Iowa Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination form must be either uploaded to the online registration (can be added to an already submitted registration for the current academic year) or turned into the main or athletics office at the high school. The final page of either document below must be signed and dated by a medical professional to be valid.

(NEW) Iowa Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination (New version for 2023-24 academic year) – only the last page (Page 4) is required to be signed and submitted

(OLD) Iowa Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination (Old form, still accepted for 2023-24 academic year)
