About SACRE
SACRE is a student led club that focuses on racial equity issues within Ames High School, ASCD, our community, and the nation as a whole. Meetings focus on education and discussion of equity related topics; many stemming from current events or issues that arise throughout the year. SACRE holds several community service projects and social events throughout the year, including; the SACRE kick-off, SACRE Show Out!, SACRE Sock Hop, and SACRE Soul Skate. This club is a great place to have your voice heard in ways it may not always feel welcomed in other spaces. This is a space for people of all ethnicities, grade levels, sexual identities and orientations, political affiliations, and other identity markers. We will cover many intersectional issues as we work together to Educate and Empower!
