About Mental Health Club
MHC meets weekly and has four basic goals: to provide a safe place and supportive environment for those struggling with, or concerned with, mental health; to educate ourselves and others about what mental health is and is not; to raise awareness and destigmatize mental health on our campus and in our community; and to advocate for changes that would benefit those who struggle with mental health. Our current projects include: creating and distributing weighted blankets, starting a campus-wide Green Bandana Project, and facilitating dialogue between students and educators about how to better accommodate and aid those affected by mental health.
