About Boys Soccer
Ames boys soccer is under the direction of former Little Cyclone standout Ryan McGowan. McGowan was named the successor of Chad Zmolek in the fall of 2019, but COVID forced the cancellation of the subsequent season.

State FinalThe Little Cyclones have reached the state final on one occasion – a 3-2 loss to Iowa City West in the 2009 edition.

2021
Youngest LineupIn the spring of 2021, the Little Cyclones started their youngest lineup in program history: six freshmen and six sophomores were on the varsity roster where seven of those underclassmen were regular starters.
