Ames High Stadium Guidelines
Our objective is that all fans have a safe and enjoyable time cheering on the Ames High band, cheerleaders, and football team. To do so, we have guidelines for Friday night events at the Ames High stadium. Failure to follow any of these expectations or guidelines will result in a person being asked to leave school property.
General Expectations
All students attending a Friday night home football game will be responsible, thoughtful, sportsmanlike and safe while cheering on the band, cheerleaders, and football team.
Students must have their school ID with them to enter the football game. Students must present their school ID at the admission gate to show their student activity ticket (S.A.T.) or present their school ID at the admission gate and pay the admission fee of $7 to enter the football game.
Ames High and Middle students should remain in their respective student section unless seated with family or an adult.
Outside food/beverage (exception: sealed water bottle, light snack for young children, etc.), backpacks, artificial noisemakers, signs, and posters are not permitted during home athletic contests.
Middle School Student Expectations
- All students must be seated in the stadium by the kickoff of the game (7 pm). Students have the choice to sit with their parents or in the assigned section in the stadium.
- Students must bring their school ID with them to the game so they can be identified.
- If students choose to sit in the middle school area, they are expected to sit there until halftime. Students who need to leave the area before halftime must give their school ID to the supervisor and return within 15 minutes. If a student cannot produce a school ID, the student will not be allowed to leave the area until halftime. Supervisors will not accept any other forms of personal property.
- Once halftime is over, the students are expected to be back in their seats for the second half and the same rules will apply for the second half that were in place for the first half.
Facility Guidelines
The admission gate closes at the end of halftime. There will be no admission to the football game after the admission gate closes. If any individual leaves the game after the end of halftime, there will be no re-admittance into the game.
