About Boys Basketball

Recently crossing the 300-career win mark, head coach Vance Downs is in his 20th year at the helm of the boys basketball program, after more than a decade of serving as an assistant on staff. The Little Cyclones appeared in the program’s 24th all-time state tournament appearance (4A record), but it marked the first time in team history of making three consecutive appearances. Junior Jack Wynter (14.4ppg) and senior Lucas Lueth (12.2ppg) led the team in scoring as the program had to come back from a 13-point substate semifinal halftime deficit to avenge an early-season loss to Ankeny.
